I'm back! This time with an update on what I'm currently working on. For the last few weeks I've been building, converting and painting an Eldar Corsair army. The idea for these guys is that the leader of the warband is originally from craftworld Altansar. He was born to one of the titan houses of Altansar alongside his twin sister, but left the craftworld behind in order to sail the stars in search of treasure and adventure as well as escape his familial obligations.
This storyline will be developed alongside my girlfriend's Altansar army, with the eventual culmination being the corsair prince taking the helm of a phantom titan (Which has been sitting in my closet unbuilt for years after I got an exceptional deal on it).
The development of this army has lead to me leaning very heavily into the idea of scooby doo-esque ghost pirates through the incorporation of a large number of wraith units and sigmar nighthaunt bits. This fits well narratively with Altansar's penchant for wraith units and the fact that the earlier unfinished version of this army was Ynnari. Maybe the corsair prince was swept up in the Ynnari movement and grew disillusioned over time, seeking his fortune elsewhere.

Even bigger wraiths.

I love that the turret can spin.

I love unusually colored plastic bits.

Do I even need to say anything?

The infantry kits are very detailed but still fun to paint. I might write a post breaking down why that is.
